It is my monday blog..better late than never..

It is 9:30 pm, and I am finally getting around to doing my Monday blog..Wow..the holiday really messed me up. I had my grandson over the weekend. He is ADHD, along with OCD. He takes meds for both. I used to be able to keep up, but now that he is older he is wanting to actually do stuff... We made brownies, he "helped" cook dinner, he went to doggy school with Buddy and I (that is a story on its own),. We latched hooked, he crocheted me a whole lot of chains and then we learned the slip stitch. We built a race car from a model, we played DS games. He helpedme dust, vacume, clean sinks. My dog is even worn out..and is already sleeping..We were up until midnight watching movies..and he was up before it was even light outside..and every light in my house was on. Along with all that he talks and talks and talks even more..Don't get me wrong..I love him dearly and am really happy he wants to come over. I know someday he will outgrow grandma and papa..and I will miss him dearly. I enjoy him and he makes me smile, but man can he wear this grandma out.. OK..we packed up some of the thread I found stashed away that I won't use..notice I said some...anyway this box has 9 balls of Aunt lydias #10 ecru I believe might be a natural or two, 2 different pinks of knit cro sheen, some more pink..don't know what it is..3 madera embroidery floss..not sure how or when I got this..I don't embroidery..1 ball of aunt lydias fast five.., and 3 ball of Aunt lydias cream color. I am going to give this away to someone who reads my blog..all you have to do is let me know you want it, be a follower, and you have to use it and not sell it..That is it..I am sorry but I have to limit this to US residents as postage will be a killer out of the states..sorry. Oh yeah and I have to have a way to get in touch with you..I will draw a name at random next Sunday night and post the winner on Monday the 12th? thought you might want to see my newest Scrubbie..A RED ROSE.. the only thing that I actually finished over the weekend. Have a great week you guys and remember if you want the thread...leave a comment.

Vikki, you were one busy grandma! Those little ones have lots of energy and they do wear out us grandmas. It sounds like you had loads of fun though. Love that scrubbie, it looks too pretty to use. I will put my name in the drawing. Maybe I will get lucky. Love those pretty pinks. I was looking at the threads this weekend in Michael's and saw a darker shade of pink that they didn't have before. I was thinking I would like to have that color and it looks like that is the color in your picture. I am crocheting my afghan blocks together and I am not too happy with the way they look. I have thought about pulling it all back out. I don't know...I may finish and see what it looks like. HOpe you have a great day. I have to mow the yard today and it will be so nice with the cooler temps.

Love, love love your doilies. Found you through Debi Y. Glad I did. Also like the Rose scrubby. Will be checking back often from now on. Would also love to be entered in your drawing, also I don't think my doilies come out as pretty as yours.

Have a wonderful day and thanks for sharing with us,

HI and thanks for your comment over at my blog. I've just been having a browse through yours and I am speechless at all the thread work you've produced! You only need to look at Buddy's ears to see how big he's going to get! My Grandad kept German Shephards, they are lovely dogs.

Hi Vikki
so good to have you take a look at my blog.
Mr.Rabbit is soooo lovely and I think I shall give it to my daughter as a christmas gift, I know she loves my crochet bits and already has a tiny pair of shoes, a gnome and a cat so she will love Mr. Rabbit.
The book has some really nice things to crochet in it and before returning it to the Library I shall have to go on Amazon and buy it for myself.
Watch out for the finished thing coming shortly (I hope)

I love that scrubby! Is it 100% cotton yarn or is it made of something else?

I'm new to the world of crochet, and that's what lead me to your blog.. but it's funny the first post I read is about your grandson with ADHD and OCD. I work with children with autism, ADHD, OCD, ODD and others.. I LOVE my job and find it beyond rewarding because I always see progress, but I know first hand how exhausting it can be! I swear sometimes the kids are super heros who don't require sleep and have boundless amounts of energy. If only we could bottle some of it =). I'd love some free yarn to practice with, and yes, I live in the US. Looking forward to reading more of your blog.
