Should have let him buy a boat!!

I haven't posted to my blog for over a week. Sorry to anyone who follows. It has been raining and storming here for the last week. Many power outages so the puter has been unplugged. I have been blessed..there were many people who had some major damage by the storms in my area. A small tornado touched down less than a half mile from here, roofs torn off, power outages, and large trees down. I went to the store the other day and I couldn't believe how bad it looked. Se have had 7.5 inches of rain since Friday..and it is still raining. People are sandbagging their homes and riverbanks. With a forecast for more rain and severe storms predicted until Wednesday I am wondering if I should have let my husband buy the boat he wanted. While taking cover in the bathroom the other night I had two weird thoughts..the first one was we are going to have to move...the second I could see my balls of thread blown all over the neighborhood, and all the doilies hanging in the trees..funny how the mind works. Thank goodness we were blessed and no damage here. The plan is to block some doilies today..maybe..and hopefully post pics in the next few days. Thanks for taking the time to read and hope everyone out there had a good Resurection Day..He Lives!!

Hi! Thank you for visiting me! :o) I have to tell you...you have some gorgeous doilies Vikki. Just awesome. And I am very happy to tell you that I am glad that I am not the only 'hoarder' of thread and yarn. :o) It's very addicting, is it not? I have had to hold myself back lately and not order more, although I want more. If I didn't have to work I would sit all day and crochet. :o)

So much rain here also. Can you believe that right now the sun is shining? I love it...I pulled some weeds earlier. We will all be mowing lawns when this rain stops and our yards dry some. We have heavy rain and thunderstorms forecast for this eveining and tonight. We had darling granddaughter here today, so no crocheting today, nor yesterday. We had a wonderful Easter! Hope you stay high and dry!
