Finished over the weekend and blocked today

Now that I have all my orders caught up and sent out I can work on something a little different.  I have 2 runner patterns that have been screaming at me since Christmas.  This is the first one.  I made it in a Cream color #712 on DMC color chart.  I think the pattern looked better in the pic or it could be that I am so used to working with a pattern that is a little more solid.  I am not sure how I feel about it.  What say you?
D
I was almost distracted away from doing it as one of my dear blog friends ( you know who you are) tried to lure me away to do a Pineapple CAL...well I did start it..I made myself work it until there were some problems...I already didn't like the pattern so anyway long story short..I frogged it...so Stitchy you are on your own.

I am working on getting a thread order together..there are a couple of empty spaces on the shelves.  I had quite a few orders last month for thread.  Even the hubby noticed the bare spots.  He wondered if I had given up.   LOL..like that is going to happen.

The weather finally feels like spring here in Southern Indiana..windows are open and the heat is off.  I hope you all are feeling it too.  Thanks for taking the time to read my thoughts and look at my pics.I have the best blog friends...Blessings

So glad you had a wonderful vacation! I've never been there but it does look divine. I love your runner too. It's different.

Wow! It's huge! I can't believe how focused you had to be on all those ch-sps! Incredible work, as always. Was it nice to change up your color? ;-)

So you are leaving me high and dry! It's ok. Sometimes patterns just aren't what you thought they'd be once you get to making them.

I have went past rnd 14 and have no issues. I'll try to post a picture in a few days.

I am using the size 20 thread and 1.00mm hook.

Love your doily. Can't wait to see what you hook up next.

Blessings to you always dear friend.

As always Vikki, your work is beautiful, how do you do these what seems like so quickly to all of us? The picture it looks peach colored. Pineapples are lovely, but not for me to do..mine come out a bit skewed or ofset...but they are pretty. Looking forward to see what Miss Stitchy does on hers....:)

I've never blocked my doilies or anything I crochet yet. I just use a towel and an iron. I'd love to block properly but I read that if you use everyday pins that they'll go rusty and mark your work, so you need to buy special ones. Well so far I've never seen any anti rust pins, so I guess I'm stuck ironing them.

Can I ask which pins you use please Vikki??

Love the runner by the way, it looks fab!!
