I did it again!!!

Well this week I made a couple more doilies in what I call Christmas green..a pineapple runner and
This spiral doily,  This is a Trish Kristoffersen design and can be found in the book Doilies with a Twist.  I think you can still get it on her website.  I think this color looks really awesome in the pattern.  I think the pattern would look good in a hot pink..for those who love shabby chic decor.  I started on an oval in this same color (remember from last post a lady wants a bunch), however I had to frog it as my hubby was home and insisted on talking while I was counting.  I should have put it down, because now I am on row 23 and the stitches are not coming out right..tore out to 21..recounted still not right...I know the row I messed up on..because I remember trying to work the stiches..and that row happens to have split fp treble clusters and alternating 3 and 4 stitiches between, working over and under top and bottom of stitches...so I really needed to put it away for now as I am so frustrated...ok..why the I did it again title......well as I was trying to figure out my mistake my stupid phone kept ringing...I ignored it as the number was a California number..I don't know anyone in CA..so I ignore it..they keep calling a couple of times finally leaving a voicemail....what do they want I ask.  After being so frustrated having frogged the oval I go into my little room and begin to look for something to make.  I decided on just making some little coasters as it would go quickly as ease my frustration.  Before leaving my room I decided to listen to the voicemail.....through word of mouth and looking at my Etsy shop she (they?) decided to contact me to see if I could make a chair set..you know those things on the arms and back of chairs.  Now I am wondering how they got my phone number..I only use a cell and my number I thought was not listed.  I am on do not call lists.   I say to self..you need to find out how they got your number and one chair set ..easy peasy I say.   So I call them back..we talk about what they want for the chair set and how much I am gonna charge.  We agree and then she says..we want 4 sets!!!!! I told myself I wasn't gonna do anymore big orders..this is now like making 12 medium size doilies.  And they want them all in the same pattern....and they want them all by middle of June..So as I am trying to pick my jaw up off the floor, I think that if I increase my price to something that I considered to be like a crazy price they won't want them.......well that didn't work..so now I am in the process of making 4 chair sets...or 12 med doilies.   I did it again.....

So now you know what I will be making for the next few weeks...Argh!!!!  To top it off..I forgot to ask how they got my number!!!! Can you say movie studio..?    yep....I am gonna be on tv or in the movies..  Thanks for stopping by my dear friends and I hope you have a week full of blessings.

I don't know if they will use them or not. But they will be shipped to a studio in Burbank.

The doily and runner are so pretty and the green is really pretty. I love those chair sets. I remember when I was a little girl and visiting older ladies in our church, they had those big overstuffed chairs and those doily sets on them. They are called antimacassers or something like that. Exciting news! You will have to keep us posted. Happy crocheting! Have a wonderful week!

Your doilies and runner are very beautiful! :) I too have this book and longing to try out one.
Congrats for the order! Do they want all four in same color too? If not, then may be, you can try different colors, or twin color combinations so that you won't get bored. Wish you all the best:)

I can relate to the frustration with Trish Kristofferson patterns. Where does she get these crazy stitch ideas? I have had to rip out rows also with her patterns. Good luck with the new order. At least someone is visiting your shop!

I love that runner in that color. So pretty! And you go girl! Although I would be kind of concerned on how they got your number too. Did you look yourself up in the white pages online? www.whitepages.com. Your work is stunning as always. Maybe this person knows the person you made the other large set for?

I love the runner and the doily!!! So beautiful.
The doily looks a bit advanced for me to try. I am enjoying thread doilies but don't think I would be able to take something like that on. You're very talented!!
