Last weeks finished projects

Good Morning my fellow bloggers..what a wonderful weekend..warm, sunny and just what a spring day could be..until all the mowing and the allergies kick in.  I don't even think the grass was long enough to mow..they just wanted to be outside doing something I am sure.  The top doily is a Trish Kristoffersen design..heck they both are..but the top one is called Debbie and can be downloaded from her site www.pkcrochet.com  I used DMC Cebelia #10..go figure as that is what I am selling in my shop..anyway the color is just white.  I think it looks so elegant.
Now this one here I made in green..just Kelly or Christmas green, yes size 10 and yes my Cebelia..It is from a book called  Simply Delightful Doilies..Kristoffersen design.  I had a lady call me..she wants anything I make from this color..I didn't think I would like it, but I gotta tell you it looks really good.  I am looking forward to finding out what other patterns would look nice with this color..I am thinking a pineapple runner, and oval, and maybe some victorian centerpiece.

Ok I gotta gripe..why does blogger have to keep changing stuff..I think it is working why mess with it.  I know I haven't been doing this as long as some.  But for the 3 years I have been doing this blogger has continually changed stuff.  Now I don't mind change..I just recent being made to change.  I like to keep things simple..and now they gotta go change stuff...again..ok rant over.

I hope all is well in your world. Thanks for taking the time to stop by..hey I want to say hello to my new followers. When I started this blog..kicking and screaming...my mom and sister said I "Needed"
to do this I never thought I would have any followers besides them..Now they don't even blog anymore.  I am amazed at the talented people who follow me, who encourage me and challenge me.  I have met some wonderful people here and wish that we could just pull up a chair, grab a hook, and just visit.  Although I have noticed..when crocheters get together..if we are working the hook we don't talk much..too busy counting..unlike knitters I know.  If it were not for this blog thing..I don't think I would have my Etsy shop..I was encouraged by my friends on here...I wouldn't be showing my doilies ...they would just sit in the closet...I wouldn't have taken the steps to sell my favorite threads..I want to thank each and everyone of you for encouraging me to grow and have the confidence to show my craft off....Thank you from the bottom of my heart..You all are very special to me..

Wow, those doilies are awesome. I really like the first one, a lot.

Yeah, blogger is getting rid of their reader, so you won't be able to see who posts on their blogs unless you find another reader, or subscribe to their blog by e-mail (I added the e-mail thing to mine).

I can't even begin to imagine the blog world without you. I look forward to seeing all the beautiful things you make. You inspire me to make doilies, although mine are no where near as beautiful as yours, I still enjoy making them.

When are you going to start the pumpkin doily from book 4 of Doilies for a Year? I finally got mine and now want to make the pumpkin doily. Let me know, we can do a CAL.

Sending out hugs and blessings to you today dear friend. :)

Those two are great! The intricate designs of the first are mesmerizing! And the second one is so open and the center star is incredible. I love it in green. =)

Your doilies are always beautiful ! That green is a nice color; waiting to see some more beautiful things in green. I am glad that you share your wonderful creations with us and inspire us too.
I have a suggestion, although, you might have done it earlier; give some tips and techniques about crochet doilies what works and what doesn't based on your experience . May be, a section/page on your sidebar.
I know there are a lot out on Internet, but bloggers who love your work and beginners will always love to learn new things:)

Vikki, that top doily is beautiful. It looks so intricate. Your skill and talent just amaze me! The weekend weather was nice wasn't it? I mowed my yard, it needed it in most places, some not so much. You have a good week and happy crocheting!

Vikki, Hi Im new to your blog but I will forever follow you for now on. I found you through Stitchy.
I was wondering can you tell me how many balls of thread did you use making the Debbie doily. I found the site and ordered the pattern waiting for it now.
You inspire me to work more in thread. Size 10 is my favorite.
Blessings,
Sherri

Vikki, What is the name of the book or number of the book where I can locate the Debbie pattern. I think I ordered the wrong book. The one I ordered is Absolutely Gorgeous Doilies. If I can find the Debbie doily I think Ill make the Pineapple Song Doily.
Im excited to get started...
