Chair sets headed to California

I finally decided on a pattern for the chair sets.  I made 3 different patterns, and one with #20 thread.  This is the pattern I finally decided I liked the most.  I used an older pattern at first but it called for #30 thread and the size was way to small.  Then I tried it with #20..way too big.  I didn't like this one at first, but after I blocked it I changed my mind.  So this is the one I am going with.  There were a few problems with the pattern, but nothing big.
So now I just have 3 more sets to do.  The next sets should go quicker as I have found the pattern and the mistakes so the rest of them should go rather smoothly.  Famous last words.

You know I feel like I just straightened my little office/craft room, and it is a mess again.  What is wrong with me that I cannot keep it picked up?  I tell myself that I am going to put things up as I use them, and I think that I do.  However I tried to sit down and write this blog and I had to move so many books, patterns, and papers just to have room to write.  It would have been easier just to grab the laptop and go to the dining room. As I look around I see patterns that need to be put away..pens, calculator, and more patterns, pins, tape measures, tape, thread, pencils,  beads( why they are out I do not know), doilies that need to be blocked ( I thought I was blocking as I made them..apparently not), and finished doilies...And to top it off there is a doll barely hanging onto a shelf, ready to fall.  How she got there I haven't a clue. She is my model for the baby beanies, that I will make sooner or later. Speaking of which..have you seen those life like dolls..They look so real..I want one!!! but goodness they are kind of pricey..But I still want one..Hey if any of my girls are reading this...Mother's day is right around the corner..and you could all go in together..How is that for a hint?  Think it will work..Doubt it..I don't think they read my blog..Anyway it is worth a shot.

So to all my dear blog followers, new and old, I am so glad you stop in from time to time just to see what I am up to.  I have met some really great people here and hope that you will leave me a comment or two once in awhile..Blessings my friends, and may you always have enough..

Vikki, I love them. The lady in CA is going to be very happy. You are just amazing, you have things made so quickly. Are you making the sets in different colors? Keep posting pictures because I love looking at them. Hope you have a great rest of the week!

That was a fun post! :) your chair set looks beautiful! You make so many doilies, I always thought that you have a factory for blocking those ; it takes ages for me to block one single doily :) but you too face challenges and have pending work like most of us ...
I wish you luck that your daughters read this post and get you what you want ....a doll? :) from daughter to mother ? LOL :)

Love the set! I would like to have a set or my red chair but with my cats, I would just be asking for trouble...they do better with sofa covers that I can throw in the wash. I have one of those babies that look real. There is a company called Paradise Galleries on the web and they have some of the realistic looking babies and most are around 79.95...I know there are a lot of artists out there that make Really REAL looking ones but those I can't touch very pricey. Anyway, I hope you get one for mothers day! Have a nice day! Hugs Jennifer

Your chair set is beautiful. I'm like you in the craft room - everything ends up on the desk, and every once in a while I have to go in and put everything away. :)

Beautiful set. I made the one for the back of the chair. I love those 'real babies' also. That is the only kind I could handle right now!

I too have the same problem. My table is always full of stuff like yarns, hooks, tape, hair clips, my kid's toys, even glasses and bowls from the kitchen. Only yesterday I cleaned everything and put them all back in their right places but now everything is back on my table.
