Back to Normal..or at least as close as I can get

Good Morning my friends.  My grandson is now at home after spending 2 weeks with us....I am worn out.  I forgot what it is like to have a child around the house.  I think that is why we are supposed to have our children before we get to our fifty plus years.  Anyway..it was a good visit, buy yeah..it was time for him to go home....So this is my first real time home alone..grandchild is gone..hubby is out of town working..so I won't have to cook..or entertain or even have the tv on...no video games...just me and hooks..hee!hee!  I may not even get dressed and run around in my pjs all day..no bra..no nothing...giggle..giggle...
Believe it or not I was able to get a couple of doilies done...
They are the same pattern..found in the last publication of CROCHET WORLD.   I am not liking the Red one as much as the gold one.
I love this one...it is made with a goldenrod color..almost the color of a marigold #743 on DMC color chart. I had to use Aunt Lydia's thread as DMC doesn't make variegated colors in size 10.  I think if you click on the pics you can see it better.   This was all I was able to get done in the two weeks Kyle was here.
I am on the last row of this one..hopefully will get it finished so I can move onto this..
A square Pineapple centerpiece.  Not so sure how it is big it is going to be..and there are problems with the pattern in the corner..so I am going to play with it and see if I can figure it out...I
have a pile of patterns that I am wanting to get to.  I have a show I do once a year and I don't have alot of doilies made.  So I am thinking about maybe not relisting my doilies at my Etsy shop when the listings expire..I am feeling a little stressed..about the whole thing...JUST BREATHE..anyway
I saw an ad in the paper for garage sale..and this one ad caught my eye..yarn, hooks, books and much much more....So I am thinking I will go do the garage sale thing esp. this one.  Kyle and I get up at the crack of dawn and go..this sale was such a dud...I couldn't believe I woke up early for this..no crochet  hooks....fishing rods and reels,  no crochet books...romance novels....no yarn....macrame cord.  So I am driving home..and all of a sudden Kyle yells garage sale..he yells when he wants to make sure you hear him..so I jump...and look to my left..and oh yeah..we are stopping......Look what I came home with..
I got them both for $20...I will reupholster them and tighten them up, but man what a find..I don't know where I will put them..but there is a spot for the straight chair close to the fireplace..and the arm chair..I am thinking in a guest bedroom..Ok..It is now close to lunch time and I have yet to get dressed..I love being home alone!!! Blessings to you all and may you always find the joy.

Both of your doilies are pretty. I think I like the gold one best too. I plan to make this pattern some day so am enjoying all the different color variations I'm seeing.

I think I'm really going to love the one you are nearly finished with. From what I can see, it's gorgeous! Can you give the pattern info along with your Tah-dah? Like I don't have enough patterns piled up as it is! ;)

Love the colors in both of your doilies. Hope you're enjoying your alone time now. ;) The chairs are very nice. Bummer that the one sale was a dud, but looks like you hit the jackpot with the chairs at the other one. :)

I love your doilies! I think the red one would look awesome at Christmas time.

Hmmm tell me more about that pineapple doily you are working the kinks out of please. You know me, I never met a pineapple doily I did not want to make.

So glad you can be peaceful with your hooks and enjoy your day...hugs to Buddy and you, too dear friend.

blessings always

Vikki, I love the doilies even the red one. Its too bad DMC doesn't make variegated thread in size 10.
I was wanting to make a size 12" by 9" oval doily. If you ever run a cross a pattern as you wonder through your patterns Id appreciate a little call. I have 2 antiques frames that I want to put the doilies in.
Im in need of more thread so youll be hearing me from me soon:)

Yard Sale! I yell the same thing when I'm in the car with my hubby or kids! Great chairs. Love the doilies but especially like the one almost finished (red and white one). I'm thinking of closing my Etsy shop also. My grandsons don't know when to go home! They would live with us if possible! Enjoy the peace and quiet.

yes, beautiful dollies. My grandfather use to make dollies. I remember in 3rd grade trying to sell some for him. They were all white though. The color ones like you make a so nice.
I'm glad you are enjoying you day alone. Have a great one.
