BEES!!!!!

Rich was outside yesterday and look what him and the neighbor found between our two yards...there must be thousands of bees!! I guess the neighbor's boy found them when he was out mowing.  He avoided them..as of this morning they are still here.....there are two big holes..I didn't know honey bees went underground...For those of you who know me..this is not a good thing..I am really frightened of anything with stingers..and will pull my car over and get out and open all the doors is one is sharing a ride with me...nope can't handle it at all....So if the pictures are fuzzy that is me taking a pic with a zoom lens...These are honey bees so we really don't want to kill them...hopefully this is a temporary stop..if not a call to my neice's husband...he is a bee keeper  is in order.

Girl, I'd be calling him RIGHT NOW!! I didn't know they were in the ground like that either.

I have to go read your last entry now. I see done more pineapple runners!

Many states have amateur beekeepers who will gladly come remove wild honeybee hives for free! They will relocate them to their hives. You might google around to find out if there is someone you can call. I know yellowjackets nest underground, so be careful! Those are bad news.

Oh my Lord - that would be it for me. I'd probably move out of my house until they were gone. :)

They shouldn't be able to survive there (no protection, for one reason), so they will probably move on before too long!

I had no idea they'd dig holes.....I am with you and hope they are only passing through. Hope Buddy doesn't find them...hugs to him by the way, I was just thinking of his cute little butt the other day, hope is doing well.

Blessings always sweet sista

Honey Bees don't nest underground, they will nest in hollow trees, things like that. These underground bees make tunnels, and likely they are under the ground in a larger area then where they were found.
Looking forward to seeing your crochet ornament. I had to go to the tutorial, as I think the directions were not as clear as I would like. I am going to try using a smaller hook as well. They are pretty.
