Last week's project and I need some advice...

Hello!!! I am happy you took time out of your day to take a look at my doilies.  I didn't get much done this week only 2...I bought this pattern from a designer at Ravelry.  It is called Fractil.  I used DMC Cebelia..what else..and the color # is 437.  It is the same color of the tabletoppers for the wedding in Greece.  You can find it along with other colors in my Etsy shop..just click the doily to your right and there you go....I think if I make it again I will use a smaller hook and maybe increase the fans..I think this would look awesome in a sea green or blue.  I may have to make that my next project after I finish what is on my plate for this week.

I also made this spider web doily..great for decorating for Halloween if you are so inclined..  I decorate for fall not so much for halloween.  This is black  #310  I will probably make a couple more of these as they look really cool with a candle or bowl of candy.

I am looking for feedback from you guys....I am thinking about expanding the threads that I carry...Currently I only carry size 10 in all the colors..I only sell it by 5 ball lots as it is the only way I can sell it at the price I am selling it at.  I am thinking about carrying size 20 thread also...I don't know if I will carry all the colors  that is one of my questions...should I carry all the colors..My second question is this...should I sell balls individually?  I would continue to sell the 5 ball lots at the current price as long as my price doesn't go up.  If I sell individual balls the price would have to be 4.50-4.75 a ball, plus postage..which is 2.00 for the first ball and 1.50 for each ball after .....I am just trying to figure out my customer base here..would you buy single balls in which case you could pick and choose a variety of colors or would you buy the 5 ball lot..or would you do both depending on your project?  I know many people have asked me to carry the size 20 so that really isn't the issue..it is the selling of individual balls...I value your opinion...thanks  Ok well I am off to go do some hookin...May you find the joy in all you do..blessings

I tried to find the pattern with the name you gave but was unsuccessful. Can you post a link to the pattern?

Also, in response to your question about carrying the thread, could the customer mix and match colors for a 5 ball order and shipping could be the same as a regular order?

the price for the 5 ball box is all one dye lot, so no for a 5 ball order of different colors it would be more expensive as I have to break up dyelots..I would probably have to a refund type of thing with the postage as etsy doesn't allow for changes..I just don't want to eat it on the postage..so I will have to figure something out as far as the postage goes

Both doilies are gorgeous - but I absolutely love that 1st one. That would be great as a table centerpiece. :)

Love the fractal doily. I have the pattern saved but haven't tried yet. Love the spiderweb doily also. As for selling the thread, I use size 10 mainly but have other sizes. I would sell individually.

Could you please tell me where to find the second doily in this post? (the black one...)
It's lovely... and just what I've been looking for.

It'd be greatly appreciated!
