Too Early?

I know, I know, you're gonna tell me it is too early to start thinking about Christmas..well if you are a crocheter, knitter or any kind of crafter...believe it or not we start thinking Christmas in July.  It bothers me when stores start putting their stuff out in August....really commercializing (big word) Christmas.  But as a crafter I need to get started early.  Believe it or not, I do not gift too many of my doilies, as I have found not everybody enjoys them and appreciates them.  So instead of getting my feelings hurt..I only give them to people who have asked for one or seem to really like them.  These doilies are made with white, the red is #666 on dmc color chart and the green is #699 as are the little holly leaves.  I only seemed to be able to get these two done this week.  I guess I am blessed to have even gotten them finished as there was some drama in my house.

I do not..repeat do not enjoy drama..I like no bumps in the road, no emotional stress, but I guess every once in awhile the outside world has to come into mine.  I will not go into details here as my blog is meant to inspire, encourage, and just be my happy corner.. Anyway with God's grace, and many prayers, we have weathered the storm and are blessed.

Ok my show is right around the corner..I hope if any of you are in the Evansville, Indiana area..you will be able to pop in.  Last year I met some of my blog friends in person and I can tell you that is so freaking awesome to be able to put a face on a name...there is one in particular after meeting that I have formed a bond with and consider her such a blessing.  I think she is my sister from another mother...you know who you are..and thank you for being you....Anyway...the show is at the Vanderburg 4H center (fairgrounds)..on Sept 28 and 28th...there will be over 400 crafters..if it isn't handmade, handcrafted you can't be in this show.  If you want more details let me know..I will definately get them to you...more info to come later..

I want to thank you all for stopping by and leaving comments, as it is pretty cool to read notes from you guys..may you all be blessed.

The Christmas doilies are beautiful Vikki. I'm glad the drama is over and you made it thru. We've been having a little drama in our family too - kind of distracts me from my blogging stuff. I hope you have a great day. :)

I only gift my crochet to "special" people also. I think about Christmas all year long but just can't get started! :-) Love your doilies. Wish I could visit your craft show.

Your doilies are always so beautiful. I can't imagine why anyone would not love to own one of your beautiful doilies, but I do know that some people just don't get how special and beautiful they are, that's ok, that leaves more for the rest of us!

So glad the drama is calming down....standing with you in prayer and agreement dear friend....

Blessings to you always sweet friend

For those of you who are inquiring about the pattern...It is a Maggie Weldon design..although I did not like the holly leaves so I made my own..you can find the pattern on her website, I think
