Isn't the center just beautiful..I love textures..and this is just that..
Listing this one also..I don't know why the center looks all messed up..I just looked at it in person and it looks just fine..hmm...I just listed that one also..
I have been out of town for a few days. My middle daughter is getting married in September and we were all out shopping for the gowns for the bridesmaids and maid of honor. I think there is something wrong with me..I think I was born without a shopping gene. Don't get me wrong..get me in a craft store and I can walk around, touch yarns, look at pattern books and magazines all day. But make me go into a dress store and look for dresses, shoes.. and all that goes with it..I can almost say for certain that I am going to leave with a freaking headache that makes me want to puke..And the salespeople who are right on top of me that everytime I turned around I bumped into her..Anyway..I am so grateful that all the girls found the dress they wanted, the bride to be was happy so we don't have to do that again..
My dear Husband got another speeding ticket...Yipee!! for those of you who are fairly new to my blog..that means that I get to spend what ever the ticket, court costs, and whatever else it costs...So that means I am going to be getting some more yep you guessed it.....THREAD!!!!!! I really don't need anymore..but you know I gotta keep my end of the bargain..See the happy dance? Thanks for taking the time to read my blog..leave a comment so I know you were here..if you can..I have been having problems with some blogs and leaving a comment..I am sorry so if I normally stop in and leave comments on your blog and you haven't seen me for awhile..please know that I am stopping by and will keep trying to leave you a message..You gotta know I really like my blogger friends..Have a great week everyone..

There you go...another thing we have in common! I hate shopping for clothes!!! but I could spend every waking hour in Hobby Lobby...LOL! you crack me up!!! (I can't stand when I'm followed by salespeople either...)
I do feel sorry for your hubby! A girl can do some damage with the price of a ticket...Have fun picking out your colors...LOL!!! Hugs Jennifer
I can just see tons of thread coming your way! You had better stock up when the opportunity arises....he make wake up one day and not have any more tickets??!!
Beautiful doilies!
Oh wow, the last one does look like peacock feathers. It is so beautiful. It is my favorite! All three are beautiful. You do such beautiful work and you are so fast! I got my crocheting out again and I am starting on a doily for my table. I didn't get very far and haven't picked it up again but mayber later this evening I will. Thanks for your kind comment. Take care.
I love the doilies - they're always so pretty. Have fun shopping for your new threads. :)
Vikki-HI! I don't know what happens with my comments sometimes. You're not the only one to have trouble. You have been doing lovely work, as usual. I'm glad you get some new thread and your heart doilies are very sweet as well.
Have a great week! Lezlie
I can realate my comments fly right off the screen, too...hmmm there must be a "commnet bandit" around...lol....I have to say you are a wiz at making these beautiful doilies so fast..I love the heart one below....so much talent...
Yippeee!!! Another speeding ticket!! lol. Your poor hubby. You know what he's probably thinking as soon as he sees those blue lights.
I'd be like you on the dress excursion and totally like you in the craft shop. I can't go in a craft place without coming out with yarn. Just ain't happening. Even though my yarn bins are busting at the seams I can always say...ooohhh that would be so pretty as a hat. :o) xoxox stay warmy! PS/ I don't blame you on keeping the peacock doily. They're all gorgeous as usual.
I cannot take my eyes off from this gorgeous piece!
I agree 1005 with you on the going to look for dresses and shoes and crap like that. Now if you get me into a Jo Ann's or yarn shop, I can be hours!
Too funny about the speeding ticket get more thread thing. I love that! :)
Your doilies are beautiful as always. I always know when I come to your blog I will see something beautiful.
Wishing you a lovely day. :)

Have a nice week.

I found your blog through another blog and I absolutely love your work. I've been crochet for 15 years but have not had much experience with lace weight crochet or doiles. I was wondering where do you find most of your patterns. Your doilies are intricate and beautiful. Most of the patterns I find are simple pineapples that I find some what boring. I was specifically wondering about the doily that is the first image in this blog. I've gone through several posts and don't see where you mention a pattern or book. Any advice or help would be appreciated.

Hi Sarah..I hope that you recheck this as I would love to answer your questions...first I collect doily patterns and pattern books, and try to remember what patterns I really like. Now this pattern is from a Leisure Arts publication called Exquisite Tabletoppers. The designer is Trish Kristoffersen. The pattern is called Swirl. I use alot of her designs as she is one of my favorites. She has her own website. www.pkcrochet.com Most of her doilies are quiet inticate and not for a beginner, but you have been crocheting for a long time and shouldn't have any problems. If you have any more questions feel free to email me at vikkihook@yahoo.com thanks for taking the time to visit my blog. I hope you will visit often.
