Do You Know what Today is? And what you are supposed to do?

This is a pic of one of the four...yes four...placemats that I finished over the weekend.  And yes they are even blocked.  I found this pattern in an old pattern book and was happier than a pig in you know what.
I have been wanting a placemat pattern that didn't take too much thread..each one of these took one ball of cebelia#10...so this set is kind of pricey...but I love them....I made them with cream #712..

Ok now that I have shown you my finished works from the weekend, do you know what day it is?  Other than Monday July 9th? and my hubby's birthday...Do you know?    OK HERE YOU GO!!!!   It is NATIONAL NO BRA DAY!!!!!   How many of you are celebrating?   heehee!!! So let the girls out...but please if you go out..put it back on...nobody wants to see that...

Hey we got rain last night.  I don't know how much good it will do as we got alot of rain in very little time and most of the rain probably ran off...I have little trenches where the ground couldn't soak it in and the water ran off..But it is a start and the temp is down in the low 90's..I never thought the 90's would feel cool..Hopefully we will get a nice steady rain in the near future..Thanks for stopping by and reading my thoughts..I have to run out to Walmart...yes the girls will be put up..Blessings my friends.

I didn't know that it was no bra day...girls are out as I am in my comfy clothes. I took a nice lavender bath and am relaxing folding clothes and walking round the neighborhood ( virtually of course)...Happy BD to your hubby....and as always your crochet work is a stunner....cooler here last 2 day, but no rain....

If you put the girls up before you go to WalMart, how will you get added to the 'people of WalMart' site? :-) I have shed my bra already and can breathe easier! Happy B-Day to the hubby!
P.S. Love the placemats.

Vikki, your post made me giggle! It was a work day for me so you know what that means. Love those placemats....pineapple pattern and oval, my favorites together. I would love to watch you crochet. You get pieces completed so quickly. You are amazing! We got that rain yesterday also. It did rain for a while but it came down hard and alot did just run off. I never thought I would think 90 was cool but after days of 100+, 90 is cool. Happy birthday to your hubby.

Hi Vikki,

Hahaha! No bra day! That will be cool :D

The placemat is so pretty! And thanks for stopping by my blog. No, I'm not paid to crochet, just a hobby :-)

Happy birthday to your dear husband!

Hugs,
Toni

Oh my! That's all I have to say about National No Bra Day. Oh my, indeed! :)

Wow, your doilies are lovely. Very, very pretty.

Hmmm are you sure you don't want to learn to knit and add knitted doilies to your repertoire? Just think, you could be just like me, wanting to gouge your eyes out trying to use those tiny needles and small thread...Fun stuff! :)

Now, as for the story...Roger is a nice guy...and no, it's not a dirty shop he owns, and no, I'm not telling either! :)

Wising you and my pal Buddy a most wonderful day. :)

Hey you! I love those placemats! And I let the girls out every day when I get home from work. Have to with all this weight I've gained...they're killing me! Happy Belated birthday to hubster! And we had a bad storm yesterday before I could get home. I worried about Leo. I pulled up the drive and he was pacing the whole entire fence line panting in the pouring rain!! I got 1.5 inches in about a half hour. I really think Leo's time is coming. He's not eating much, my daughter even said on skype that he is looking skinny. Sigh....I'm having a hard time with it all.

Hi Vikki! Love those placemats, I love all your pretties though :o)
I could never give my dogs away either. German Shepard's are the best, I have never had a problem with koda as far as temperament or anything...he is an excellent watch dog...I'm sure you know that already since buddy is just like him...lol! Koda's skin is finally cleard up, he had a fungus infection and the vet FINALLY figured it out and gave us the right spray meds. In two days it looked like it was almost gone. How many months did he suffer through, for something that took two days to clear up...ugh! Well I'm off to bed! have a nice weekend! Hugs Jennifer
