WIPS and It is her fault...

I wasn't going to make any trees this year, but I found some wonderful lights that just screamed at me to buy them...so I did..10 boxes to be exact..snuck (is that a word?)them in..I only need 2 for a large tree..don't ask..Like I said before..I could be a hoarder..anyway so then a trip to Joann's for yarn..Lowe's for dowels.  I had to improvise a red neck yarn holder..I have to hold 2 strands and I can't stand having the thread rolling on the floor..so the resourceful woman I am went through my kitchen and found that these containers will work..click on pic to make it bigger...
This red and green star thing..well blame this one on Stitchy McFloss...she is a bad influence..another CAL..and I don't even have the blanket done..Supposed to use #3 thread, but after buying all the lights and yarn (I bought all they had in the store 14 red heart super saver) I had better use what I have..and you all know I have a ton of Cebelia thread.  Anyway I am not so sure I like this pattern at all with the smaller thread..but I will make more stars and see what happens..I have too many projects going and it makes me a wreck...on to the next..crazy shit...oops..did I really say that?
This is the runner I am working on for my sewing machine table..I must be in a motif mood..I really do not like doing the joining thing..I am working from the ends so I can call it done whenever..right now it is the size of a large placemat..Ok when I get too many projects going I usually don't feel like I get anything done..and it really does make me a nervous wreck..I am going to have to stay away from Stitchy McFloss..she is a BAD influence...really.  Go check her out..  http:stitchymcfloss.blogspot.com and you will see what I mean...
I did finish one thing this week....this new design from Trish Kristoffersen..it is called Brenna.  You can get the pattern at www.Pkcrochet.com   This was pretty easy, I found no mistakes in the pattern.  But it does take some blocking skills..most of her designs are fairly easy to block..this one took some time...but isn't it one of the prettiest doilies?   She is one of my favorite designers..I love the details and the textures..  Oh yeah I listed about a dozen doilies in my Etsy shop over the weekend..go check them out when you have a moment and let me know what you think...If you enter MADE4ME in the coupon box..I will pay the shipping charges..just sayin....  Any way thanks for stopping by and reading my thoughts..my blog friends are the best..Blessings to you all.

Hmm! So WIP virus has caught you too ;) good to know, after all, misery loves misery ;) I am already in the web of multiple WIPs!

Your doily looks very elegant and beautiful! It's adorable:) I too like PK doilies and have bought 3 of her books. I hope I will complete all of them :)

I've got my head down in shame...Aww shucks...did I do that? I didn't mean to drive you crazy...honest...but you've got to admit...it's fun.

Now get yourself on size 3 thread and make those stars woman! Size 10 is too small, it will feel like building a house with match sticks..say it with me "size 3 crochet thread." I got mine at Michaels....fresh off the truck! Yeah I was waiting for them this am...I needed my white thread...the bridal white just made them see like they were pee colored stars..just saying. :)

blessings and hugs always...and we've got together soon...to crochet and chat..who knows what we could get into!

:)

I think your redneck yarn holders are a great idea. Love the doilies (as always). :)

That is one beautiful doily. Those yarn holders are great. I can't stand my yarn rolling around everywhere either. Drive me crazy! I've got that too many things in progress thing going on here but unlike you, I haven't finished a thing.
I think my plans for that layette set are going to change. Can't find baby yarn in gray. I may end up doing only a baby afghan. Joann's has two skeins of baby gray, Michael's and HObby Lobby have nothing in the gray so...we will see. Happy crocheting
