I am still around...

Well, good morning my friends, I know, I know..I have been AWOL.  But it is nice to know that I have been missed.  I have been busy these past few weeks...my mother-in-law came for a visit..well a visit with a purpose.  She has made a few major life changes...retired finally..sold her house...and is making plans to move closer to us.  So while she was here we were looking for a place for her to live..I told her and let her know that she could always stay with us, but she has always been an strong independent woman so that really didn't appeal to her..She found a very nice place and I think it has everything she was looking for.  Then his cousin..stopped by from Boca Roton Florida for a night..just passing through ...more on that later..then this past weekend it was my grandson's birthday so I made the trip up north to be with him and my girls..and most of my grandkids...had lunch with mom.  I miss not having them closer.  I have not grabbed a hook or anything for a couple of weeks..and I can tell you that is about to change TODAY!!!!
I want to work with this color....It is not brown, tan, white or cream...I think this is my new favorite color to work with.  It is very nuetral...and the results are freaking awesome!!  Thanks Sherri, for asking if I had any gray...you made me look through my threads..although I did find a couple of balls of gray..but it has been discontinued by DMC  so there won't be anymore..and I will hang on to the gray for something awesome.  Anyway the color # is 3033 and is available in my shop, as are other DMC cebelia thread colors..just click on the doily on the upper right of this blog.
So my big plan for today is to find a pattern to work with my hook and thread.   Thanks for all of you who stopped by..who sent me emails making sure I was ok...and to all of you who just take the time to read my thoughts..May you all be blessed and find the joy in whatever you do ....blessings

Sounds like you've been very busy, but it also sounds like things are going well in your neck of the woods...so that is a good thing. :) Can't wait to see what you make with your thread! :)

Love the doily pattern. Your doilies are always so awesome. Look tomorrow on my blog, Jo found your Gumption, I've got a story all about it.

I like that color, too...but lately I have been in a soft green color mood...maybe a light yellow...something soft and soothing....

Sending hugs and blessings your way dear friend. :)

Beautiful doily Vikki. It's always good to spend time with the family - good to hear you had a nice time. Happy Birthday to your grandson. :)
