Finished up a runner over the weekend

Hi guys.  I hope everyone had a good weekend..I haven't heard from some usual bloggers that live in Pensacola..I am hoping all is well and that you weathered the storms.

I finished up a runner over the weekend..even got it blocked..there are still a couple of doilies that need some blocking, but you know how it is.  I like making them, just not really fond of having to block them.  You know it is not hard, not usually time consuming, so I don't really know why I procrastinate on the blocking part.  One would think that I should just do it as I finish them.  Must be the ADD...got to move on to something else.  Always something on the hook.  I don't know what I would do if I couldn't pick up my hook and thread.   It is the one thing that I look forward to doing everyday.

I was challenged to list 5 things that people don't know about me, by a blog follower..they don't comment..but send me emails...being as I have very little to say today..let me give it a shot..

1.  I am one of 5 children..the #2 daughter...so I have 3 sisters and 1 brother...and we only had 1 bathroom.  Each one of us have our own personality, which is different from each other.

2.  I am a hermit.
3.  The truth is I am having a hard time coming up with something that I haven't already talked about on my blog at one time or another...so for 4 and 5...I guess I will leave it to you guys to ask me something you want to know about me....I am pretty much an open book..what you see is what you get.... ok enjoy the pics of the runner..you have seen this pattern before..but it is still pretty.  May you be blessed many times over..
Made with Cebelia size 10 thread..and I chose cream #712

Hello my fellow Hermit! How's it shaking in the cave today? :) Yep, I thought that might make you smile.

Your runner is awesome.

Blocking...hmmmm I don't seem to have that word in my vocabulary.....

Want the skinny on what is happening with me lately? I am head over heels (or is that needle) in love, love, love, love and did I mention love with cross stitch.

The hook keeps calling and I keep hanging up the phone! That's ok, I will just sit back and admire all the beautiful things you make until I get my hooky MoJo back again.....

Blessings to you always sweet friend. :)

It's beautiful! I don't remember seeing this pattern before, but it's a goodie. I don't know what I'd do without my hook and thread or yarn either. Life sure would be boring! I'm a hermit too.

Beautiful work, as always! :) I'm pretty good about getting them blocked right away, but I always try to assess, before I even make a doily, if the blocking is going to be easy or not. If not, there's a good chance I won't be making it. LOL

Beautiful doily runner Vikki. :)

I have a question for you - how long have you been crocheting?

Beautiful runner :-) I don't like blocking either; it's more fun to just start another project.
Here's one hermit peeking at another!

Gorgeous!

Ah, the hermit life... never thought I'd love it so much!

I just finished up Stitchy's CAL yesterday afternoon. Hopefully I'll get it blocked shortly. I don't mind the process of it, it's the space that it takes up--I don't have a lot to work with. ;-)

Beautiful runner! You sound like a fellow Cancer! I guess I have ADD too because I can't just sit and do nothing!

Very beautiful runner !!:) I have same thoughts on blocking as you do.
I wasn't a hermit but have become a one since I left my full time job and started needlework. But I would want to change that thing in me.

HI Vikki,

That pink doily is just gorgeous. I wish I had just a smidgen of your skill and talent. I love doilies. Can never have too many. I cannot wait to see the threadeater. Your hubby's comments were really sweet.
