Poinsettia Doily

Hi Guys, I hope all is well in your world.  Seems like I am having a hard time deciding on what to do now that the thread eater is finished.  I am thinking that I might start another tablecloth and this time make it to fit my table.  Like I said I am in the thinking about it stage..we will see.  I guess I must like having a big project on a hook..as I am having a tough time deciding what to do now.  I want to make more Christmas doilies, but I don't seem to have very many at all..so if you all know a pattern send a pic and let me know where I can find the pattern...I would be grateful.  I did get this poinsettia Doily finished.  I made it with DMC Cebelia thread..#666 red and 699 green and ecru.  I used a 0 hook....and 14kt gold plated beads in the center.. The thread can be found in my store....look to your right...  or   www.etsy.com/shop/byhooks4u

I have an old table that needs to be refinished and I want to make a tablecloth for it.. I had someone ask me if I thought a tablecloth made from like motifs or a one string type of tablecloth was easier.  Now too be honest..I do not enjoy piecework...at least I don't think I do.  I have never made a tablecloth using motifs, so I really don't know.   Maybe if I found the right pattern I would give it a shot.  So I guess I didn't answer the question..but if I had my choice I would do the one string type of thing..ok...here are pics of the poinsettia doily...thanks for stopping by and I hope you have a blessed week.

That doily is beautiful! I'll look and see if I have any CHRISTmas doilies for you.
You asked why I bought the lavender thread for. It's for tha future, heehee. My curtains in my bedroom are lavender so I thought I'd make a dresser scarf. When I find the pattern I want to do I'll post a pic.

Beautiful doily. I like working one piece projects also. I need to make a tablecloth for myself but can't seem to get out of the yarn projects.

Beautiful doily, Vikki :-) I like working with motifs more, I think, because I can take it on the go. But that's with yarn. If I made a tablecloth with thread, I think I'd definitely want it to be one piece. Take care :-)

Gorgeous! I think I might to fashion up this myself. Something I should think about after Christmas for the next Christmas. I'm a one stringer also. I am not a fan of piece work or connecting/changing up the yarn or thread. However, I love the look of the piecework, and appreciate the heartwork of the the work, it is time consuming but oh so lovely for the eyes...:)
