Just checking in
Good Afternoon. I have been trying to get on here to blog since Monday. I thought about it, but just never got on here to do it. I thought about blogging about our upcoming elections...and then thought why bother....I am not happy about my choices...my thought is this about our election...no matter what please just vote...anyway here are my thoughts..with a country that has as many educated people..talented people...people that have a social consciousness...why ...are these two people our choices? We have a man that is using the public's frustration as a platform...you know that is almost scary..Yes I am frustrated as much as the next guy..I am tired of seeing our paycheck disappear before we even get it...I am tired of big business running our country..I am tired of having to be apologetic because I am white.. I am tired of having to make concessions to people who come here illegally, or who come here looking for a better way of life..but then want to rewrite our Bible..or cater to their religious beliefs...Yes I am tired...but the other option is a person that makes deals with the very powers that we have taken arms against...who believes in late term abortions..who believes we need to modernize the Bible..that believes taking guns away from law abiding citizens will help with all the violence...But as tired of I am of stupid political commercials, of half lies, of bashing each other...I will vote...I just wish we had a candidate who would tell the truth...tell me the truth..tell me that he is just a figure head and truly has very little legislative power..tell me that he/she is running for office for the prestige..for the lifetime benefits they will have once they fulfill their terms...tell me that you are going to stuff the budget full of stuff that has nothing to do with the budget..tell me what your real agenda is....Instead of saying she doesn't have the stamina...say what you really think...instead of saying and slamming him for something that he said 20 years ago really has any bearing on what he is saying now.....cause I don't think your hubby has a lot of respect for women either..TELL Me the Truth on why you want to be president.....ONE person..cannot fix the mess we are in..one person cannot heal the great divide between rich and poor..black and white..Christian and Muslims....

Vera, at first I did not want to comment on this post, but I stepped back and thought about it and here it is whether you like it or not. One candidate has been clocked making lies every three minutes, that is right every three minutes. And one has worked her whole life to help others in need. She is not for late term abortions, she thinks government should not interfere in a woman's ability to chose. That is a completely different thing that is alluded to by many on conservative news. A woman's right to chose does not even mean she is pro abortion at all it just means a woman should have the right to make a decision and not the government. I suggest to anyone that is having issues with this election to fact check, there are reliable fact checking links all over the internet, not Fox news, and not necessarily MSNBC, non-partisan fact checking is the only way to weed out all the lies that are occurring so you can make a rational choice. I'm with you, Vikki! The two candidates are not the best to choose from. One says what everyone wants to hear and the other lies through her teeth! I'm going to vote but I'm not happy with either choice. We are screwed any way it turns out!
